Marco Reus, Captain of Borussia Dortmund, had a tough time during his last few years. But if injuries didn't happen, He would have been in the top 5 midfielders around the globe. He has returned to games last year and it is showing a very good impact on Dortmund team (Dortmund is 1st in Bundesliga, where the title holder Bayern has slipped to 6th position). He was included in German Squad for world cup campaign. Though He is in good form this season, it will take him a few more years of consistent play to prove his greatness.

Gareth Bale, One of the fastest footballers, started his career as a defender and his coach turned him into an attacker. Gareth Bale has suffered several short span injuries, which caused a sporadic appearance for Real Madrid. The real reason for buying Bale was to make him the successor of Cristiano Ronaldo, but it failed somehow. Still, the Welshman has proved is importance whenever he has played for the club. He was ranked 6th Best footballer during 2016 Ballon d'Or ceremony. Mostly, He would have continued the same ranking if he had suffered lesser injuries.
